FAQs, policies, and other important things to know.

Why are you transitioning to studio memberships?

We’re a small business with big dreams, and our goal is to provide the very best natural light studio experience in the Shreveport/Bossier area. By taking on a membership-only model with unlimited booking for a handful of creatives, we’ll be able to intentionally focus on our member’s needs, ensuring that every shoot is set up for success. Membership comes with a lot of perks.

Will only members have access to the studio after the transition?

Yes! As of July 1, 2023, the booking calendar is exclusively accessible to members only. In the future, we’re planning to open up additional membership spots (up to 20ish), so sign up to be notified once those are available!

How many memberships are available?

At Revelator Studio, membership is not just a booking – it’s an invitation to join a select group of visionary creatives who value unique, flexible, and inspiring spaces for their projects. Our exclusive community is limited to only 20 members at any given time, guaranteeing maximum creative potential and support. Once our roster is full, we will temporarily suspend enrollment until a space becomes available – a priceless opportunity for those lucky enough to join us.

What’s the best time of day to shoot?

The studio is bathed in beautiful natural light from February through November, creating an inspiring atmosphere for your creative endeavors. If you’re seeking a bold contrast or striking shadows, we recommend booking in the late afternoon when the light takes on a more dramatic tone. With our spacious studio, you have the freedom to explore various lighting conditions at any time of day. Whether you’re into photography or shooting captivating videos, Revelator Studio offers a flexible canvas for your artistic vision. Seize the opportunity and let your creativity shine!

What if my shoot runs over?

As our studio often has back-to-back bookings, we kindly request that you remain mindful of fellow photographers and allocate enough time at the end of your reservation to ensure a smooth transition and leave the space in its pristine state. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a harmonious space for all our creative members.

Will I have access to bathrooms?

Yes! There are public (shared) restrooms steps away from our studio on the first floor of our building.

Can I access the studio if I’m not a member?

No, scheduling sessions and accessing the space is only available to members. You can learn more about membership here, and be notified once more membership spots are available by signing up here.

Where should I park?

We have ample FREE covered parking right next to Motor Hotel. Look for signs that say “1513 Line Avenue Parking” and it will lead you into the parking garage. You can park on the first or second floor and gain easy access to the studio.

Does my booking include equipment?

Yes! You can see a full list of equipment on our studio page. However, we do not provide any type of lighting or food and drink (other than Topo Chico), but you are welcome to bring in anything you will need during your shoot. Please feel free to email us if you have any other questions about our equipment.

Is any type of photoshoot allowed?

We respect the creative process, but kindly remind our members that nude photography is not permitted on our premises. As our historic Motor Hotel studio is located on the first floor, we highly value your privacy, as well as your clients’. Moreover, we kindly ask that you refrain from using glitter, confetti, messy food, or fireworks of any kind during your shoot to ensure the pristine condition of our studio space. We believe in fostering an empowering and respectful environment for all artists, and our team is always here to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding our policies. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we work to create a truly inspiring space for your artistry to thrive.
